The woman who was ``Roe'' in the 1973 ``Roe vs. Wade'' decision legalizing abortion says that last week's abortion-clinic slayings have left her fearing for her own safety.
``The anti-choice people are just turning into terrorists,'' said Norma McCorvey, who works at a local abortion clinic. ``It's really kind of getting scary coming into these clinics and never knowing if somebody is going to machine-gun us, follow us home.''
Still, McCorvey said, she went back to work Tuesday.
``This issue is the only thing I live for,'' she said. ``I live, eat, breathe, think everything about abortion.''
