MAXINE M. CROCKETT

Maxine Morgan Crockett, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 1995.

She was a native of Mathews. Mrs. Crockett graduated from Ferrum Junior College and received her bachelor of science degree from Radford College. She taught in the Mathews County School system for 28 years. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the Church Choir, Mathews Music Club, Friends of the Library, Mathews Yacht Club and Mathews Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Hudson Crockett, and her parents, William Washington Morgan and Annie Diggs Morgan.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joseph Shepherd and the Rev. William Clark presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is handling arrangements.
