FLOYD T. BRISTOW

Floyd Thomas Bristow, 79, of the 700 block of Gainsborough Ct., a retired self-employed contractor, died Jan. 5, 1995.

He was a native of Cologne, Va., and was a member of Moyock Methodist Church. He was a charter member of Olive Branch Lions Club and former member of Tidewater Home Builders Association. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by two sons, Alvin and Steven Bristow.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Webb Bristow; one stepdaughter, Marjorie A. Crews of Virginia Beach; one stepson, Thomas F. Crews of Santruce, Puerto Rico; two sisters, Vernell Sleeth of Morgantown, Ind., and Adelaide Sears of Richmond, Va.; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and an uncle, Thomas Carlton of Richmond, Va.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Immanuel Baptist Church, 1012 Battlefield Blvd. North, in Chesapeake, by the Rev. Dave Libengood and the Rev. John Woodward. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. His wish to be cremated will be honored by the family. The family will receive friends in the church social hall following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church and Moyock Methodist Church.
