MARY S. CLARK

Mary S. Clark, 72, died Dec. 31, 1994, after a brief illness, in Howard County General Hospital.

Born in Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Clark was married in 1942 to the late Lt. Col. Charles P. Clark Jr., U.S.A. (Ret.). During her husband's military career, Mrs. Clark lived at various U.S. Army facilities throughout the United States and Germany. In 1959, Mrs. Clark settled with her husband and family in upstate New York, where she and her husband lived until they retired to San Antonio, Tex., in 1978. After Lt. Col. Clark's death in 1984, Mrs. Clark lived with a son in Kermit, Tex., and a daughter in Fort Washington, Md., until 1991, when she moved to Columbia, Md.

Survivors include seven children; Charles P. Clark III of Kermit, Tex., Stephanie Y. Brown of Apalachin, N.Y., Lt. Cmdr. Nicholas B. Clark, U.S.N. (Ret.) of Virginia Beach, Va., Anthony W. Clark of Wilmington, Del., Lt. Cmdr. Valerie P. Clark, U.S.N., of Fort Washington, Md., Victoria S. Fallon of Endicott, N.Y., and Christopher V. Clark of Columbia, Md.; a sister, Peg Vinney; a brother, Maj. Gen. John McGiffert, U.S.A. (ret.), both of San Antonio, Tex.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Clark may be made to the American Cancer Society.
