John Cameron Brown, 73, of the 1400 block of Ponderosa Arch died Jan. 6, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Darlington, S.C. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years and retired as a chief electronics technician with Grumman Aero Space after 24 years, was a member of Landstown Community Church in Rhode Island, Overseas Masonic Lodge in Rhode Island, Providence Royal Arch Chapter 1, VFW Post 3354 in South Carolina, American Legion Post 77 in Rhode Island and Fleet Reserve Branch 99.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian ``Sheedy'' Brown (spouse of 53 years); a daughter, Linda Susan Moody of Glen Burnie, Md.; a son, John Cameron Brown, Jr. of Rhode Island; a sister, Patsy Lyles of South Carolina; four brothers, Robert Brown, Thomas Brown, Paul Brown, all of South Carolina, and Charles Brown of California; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a special friend and former daughter-in-law Janice Brown Grubbs of Portsmouth. He was predeceased by a son, Steven Michael Brown.
All services are being held in Rhode Island. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, in charge locally.
