Mrs. Violet Goodman Bangel, 92, a Norfolk native and resident of Portsmouth most of her life, died January 7, 1995.
She was the widow of Dr. Jac Bangel, and is survived by a daughter, Patricia B. Scher of Newport News; a son, Dr. William M. Bangel of White Stone; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, by Rabbi Mark A. Golub. The family will be at 208 Longwood Drive, Newport News. Peninsula Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
