William Earl Grimes, 55, of the 300 block of Nicholson St., Norfolk, Va., was born in Pitt County, N.C., March 25, 1939 to the late Leroy Grimes and the late Pearlie Grimes.
Earl departed this life on January 3, 1995 in Norfolk Sentara Hospital.
Survivors include his wife Bessie Grimes, three sons William A. Grimes, Therman L. Grimes, Travis A. Grimes. four daughters Cassandra Grimes, Debra Grimes, Patricia Grimes and Wanda Grimes. He is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Carter of Philadelphia, Pa., Willie Bush of New Haven, CT., Sharon Paige of Greenville, N.C. five brothers, Harvey Grimes of Norfolk, S.F.C. Robert E. Bush, U.S. Army, Donald Ray Bush of Grifton, N.C., Joseph Lester Bush and Antonio Bush both of New Haven, CT. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 3 great grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday 12:00 Jan. 11, 1995, at Graves Funeral Chapel by Rev. Harold Cason. Burial will be held in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery.
