Ilene Evans Edwards, 63, of the 1600 block of Ballahack Road, died Sunday, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of the late Hallett M. and Hassie Bollinger Ward and was the widow of Richard C. Edwards. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church, Chesapeake and had been a charter member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, William M. Ward of Franklin and Bernard ``Buddy'' Ward of Chesapeake; her sister-in-law, Judy Winstead, also of Chesapeake and her three grandchildren, William Shane Ward, Crystal Daniel Ward and Robert Shawn Ward.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. John Transue. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.
