FRED V. STONEMAN SR.

Fred V. Stoneman Sr., 65, of the 2400 block of Payne Road, retired owner of Stoneman's Upholstery Co., died Jan. 8, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Stoneman was born in Galax, Va. He was the widower of Emily Elizabeth Whitley Stoneman.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine E. Burris and Tara S. Cook, both of Chesapeake and Cynthia S. Brent of Mount Pilot, N.C.; four sons, Dwain Stoneman and Dean Stoneman, both of Chesapeake, Don Stoneman of Greensboro, N.C. and John Rice of Portsmouth; three brothers, Harvey G. Stoneman of Portsmouth, Pearlie R. Stoneman of Chesapeake and the Rev. William H. Stoneman of Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph L. Glazebrook. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
