SAMUEL O. BROWN

Samuel O. Brown, of the 2800 block of Greenwood Drive, a retired craftsman, died Jan. 6, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center, Portsmouth.

Mr. Brown was born in Washington, N.C. He had retired from the City of Portsmouth after 30 years. He was a member of Third Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Millie M. Brown; a daughter, Peggy C. Bradley of Portsmouth; four sons, Eddie S. Brown, Samuel Brown and Daniel Brown, all of Portsmouth and Thomas E. Brown of Virginia Beach; a sister, Lucy Vicks of New Haven, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Third Baptist Church by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
