Sarah McDonald Lassiter, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995.
Mrs. Lassiter was born in Reno, S.C. and was the widow of Clifton Scott Lassiter. She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy L. Benton and her husband, Bill of Franklin; two grandchildren, William Scott Benton and his wife, Carla of Buda, Texas and Abbie Benton Ancarrow and her husband, Anthony of Elkton, Md.; three great-grandchildren, Grant Benton, Sara Benton and Abriel Ancarrow; three sisters, Ruth Clifton and Annie Babb, both of Roanoke Rapids and Mary Jane Haslip of Pennsylvania; and one sister-in-law, Louise McDonald of Walters.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. David Erickson. Memorials may be made to the High Street United Methodist Church for use in the nursery. Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
