Ruth V. Baber, 49, a homemaker, died Jan. 8, 1995, in her residence.
She was born in Columbus, Ga., and was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include three daughters, Beth and son-in-law, Frank Funari of San Diego, Calif., JoAnna and Julie Baber, both of Virginia Beach; her mother, Marguerite and Evans Barker of Georgia; two sisters, Marguerite Miles and Mary (Czech) Kozel of Georgia; two brothers, John Kozel of Tennessee, Frank Kozel of Georgia; her grandmother, Doris Brock of Norfolk; and a special friend, Bernard Goldberg of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Our Saviour Lutheran Church by the Rev. Ken Carbaugh. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the At Home Care Hospice of Virginia Beach.
