John Ford Alston, 62, of the 5200 block of Waller Court, died Jan. 8, 1995, at his residence.
Mr. Alston was born in Rock Springs, Texas, and was retired from the Navy as a Master Chief, after serving 26 years. He was also retired from civil service after 13 years. He was a Baptist and a Navy veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Rob Pittman in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall/Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
