Alfred Julian Frostick, formerly of Newport News, Va., died Jan. 8, 1995, at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community in Culpeper, Va.
Mr. Frostick was born in Richmond, Va., and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred George Frostick of Richmond, Va. At 14, Mr. Frostick was awarded the Boy Scout Medal of Service during World War I. He graduated from the Richmond Light Infantry Blues in 1927. Mr. Frostick retired from the Senior Accountant Division of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Co. after 43 years of service in 1970. Mr. Frostick was a member of the Virginia Masonic Lodge for 64 years. He entered the Manchester Masonic Lodge of Richmond, Va., in 1930 and was awarded a certificate of Sir Knight of the Grand Commandry in 1968. He was also a member of the St. Johns Royal Arch Chapter and affiliated with the Bremond Lodge, both of Newport News, Va. He was illustrious master of the Grand Council of Virginia in 1974. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Frostick.
He is survived by his two nieces, Sara Munden of Norfolk and Georgie Quattlebaum of Dallas, Texas.
Masonic rites will be conducted graveside for Mr. Frostick by the Bremond Lodge of Newport News on Jan. 11 at the Essex Cemetery, Tappahannock, Va. Mike Brestow Funeral Home of Tappahannock will handle funeral arrangements. The family expresses deep gratitude for generous loving care given to their beloved Uncle Julian by the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community.
