The Pasquotank County Board of Commissioners on Monday approved about $10 million in school spending, some $2 million more than agreed on last week, County Manager Randy Keaton said.
The extra money will go toward renovating Pasquotank Elementary School, Keaton said. The project was moved up from the second phase of a proposed $24 million spending plan.
Also in the works are additions to Central and Northside elementaries and a $3.8 million overhaul of J.C. Sawyer Elementary. About $2 million has already been spent on the middle and high schools. by CNB
