Eula Holmes Peace of the 2400 block of Armor Lane, a retired elementary school teacher, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mrs. Peace was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of William and Pattie Williams. She taught for many years at Bowling Park and J.J. Smallwood Elementary schools and was retired from the Norfolk public schools. She was the widow of Wesley H. Peace Jr. and was a graduate of Virginia Union University.
Survivors include a son, Wesley H. Peace III; two sisters, Vivian Holmes Pollock and Inez H. Booker, both of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Kai H. Peace and Maya D. Peace, both of Fort Washington, Md.; and daughter-in-law, Virginia Tucker Peace of Fort Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church, 718 Tidewater Drive, by the Rev. Thomas Venable and the Rev. Marvin Duke. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. The body will be placed in church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
