TONYA L. CLARK

Tonya L. Clark, 23, of Linden Ave., died Jan. 7, 1995 in Maryview Hospital.

She was born in Portsmouth and was a beautician with Hair-Style Inn. She was a member of United Full Gospel Revival Center, Portsmouth; director, Junior Commission Choir; Primary Sunday School teacher, activity director of the youth department and a full-time member of the Mass Choir. She was a 1989 graduate of Deep Creek High School, attended vocational beauty school and received her cosmetology license and had been a licensed beautician for six years.

Survivors include her parents, Otelia W. Clark and James F. Clark, Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Maria J. Wynn of Chesapeake; a brother, David Clark of Portsmouth; maternal grandparents, David and Josephine Pugh of New York, N.Y.; paternal grandparents, James and Thelma Clark of Portsmouth; a host of aunts, uncles, a nephew and cousins and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Garden of Prayer (NU)4 C.O.G.I.C., 1409 Marshall Ave., Portsmouth, by the Rev. Olivia Sharp and the Rev. Dallas Ellis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corprew Funeral Home where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Other times the family will be at 6030 Churchland Blvd., Apt. (NU)21, Portsmouth, and will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday for the funeral service. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
