JAMES SAMUEL EURE

James Samuel Eure, 85, of the 300 block of Bosley Ave., died Jan. 10, 1995, in Obici Hospital.

A native of Gates County, N.C., he was the son of the late Linwood Graley and Mary Jane Felton Eure and was a retired machinist from Planters. Mr. Eure was a member of Suffolk Christian Church and Suffolk Elks Lodge (NU)685.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Butler Eure; one daughter, Virginia Eure Black of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Essie E. Jernigan of Suffolk and Bonnie E. Williams of Franklin; two brothers, John D. Eure of Suffolk and Nathaniel ``Nat'' Eure of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Bruce A. Havens. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the home. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Christian Church Building Fund, 216 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
