Sidney R. Groome Jr., 66, died on Jan. 10, 1995, in his home in Chamblee.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., he had resided in the Atlanta area 42 years. He was a retired bondsman and was predeceased by his wife, Sue E. Groome; his parents, Mary L. Groome and Sidney R. Groome, and his sister, Mary Louise Groome.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie Groome of Fayetteville, N.C., and Donna Nisterly of Dallas, Ga.; two sisters, Bertha G. Chernich of Fountain Hills, Ariz., and Eileen Cramer of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Jesse Garner of Fayetteville; and two stepsons, James and Joseph Emory of Atlanta, Ga.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Patterson Oglethorpe Funeral Home in Atlanta. Burial will be in Marietta, Ga.
