George G. ``Gil'' Fernald Jr., 68, of the 9200 block of Atwood Ave., died Jan. 11, 1995, in DePaul Medical Center.
He was a native of Rye, N.H., and was retired from Dixon and Van Landscaping.
He is survived by his wife, Ava Y. Fernald; two daughters, Terri Bass of Chesapeake, and Sharon Corr of Virginia Beach; one son, Robert W. Fernald of Norfolk; one brother, Charles E. Fernald of Rye, N.H.; three grandsons, Steven Kresovich, Brian Corr, and Jason Corr, all of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m.
