Lewis Freeman, 89, of the 4000 block of Indian River Road, a retired boilermaker, died Jan. 11, 1995, in his residence.
He was born in Whitley City, Ky., and was a member of Boilermakers Union Local (NU)684. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and from Norshipco.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Freeman; a stepdaughter, Norma L. Patterson of Virginia Beach; a stepgranddaughter, Patricia P. Woodhouse and a stepgreat-grandson, Ian E. Allen, both of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews in Kentucky.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Jess Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
