EXPANDED MAERSK SERVICE TO CREATE 70 JOBS AT PORT

Maersk Line's expanded service to the port of Hampton Roads will create 70 additional port or port-related jobs generating $1.7 million in wages and nearly $200,000 in state and local taxes annually. The announcement was made Wednesday by Robert T. Skunda, Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade. The expanded service by Maersk will add 10,000 containers a year to the port's volume as it expands its service between Hampton Roads and South America. by CNB
