Both the Democratic and Republican parties of Virginia Beach customarily have Saturday morning breakfasts for party stalwarts and the public.
Each party also has a telephone number listed in the white pages.
You needn't have sped too far down the information highway to figure that the telephones could inform interested folks about when and where the breakfasts are. But they don't.
Show up when and where the Democrats' taped message advises, and you'll show up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Call the Republicans' number, and you get not a person, not even voicemail but the uninformative squeal of a fax.
A political party that wants to run the government ought to have the wit to work the phone. by CNB
