RECALLING HISTORY

In light of the recent and most tragic events surrounding the two abortion-clinic shootings, it is interesting to note that certain elements of the abolitionist movement also advocated violence and God to advance its agenda. Even as General Sherman's troops were burning and raping their way across Georgia and the Carolinas, they were not singing praises to the Lord but to a terrorist by the name of John Brown. And yet today these people are admired and considered heroes, and their cause deemed just and holy. Will history repeat itself?
