LOUISE WINBORNE

Louise Winborne, 76, of the 1500 block of Covel St., died Jan. 11, 1995, in his residence.

Mrs. Winborne was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Arthur L. Winborne. She was a member of St. Thomas AME Zion Church in Norfolk, Usher Board (NU)2, General Assessment Board, Willing Workers Club and Sunday School secretary for over 25 years. She was a Kindergarten teacher at the St. Thomas AMEZ Child Care Center. She was also a member of Campostella Garden Club, Garland C. Pretlow Memorial Senior Citizens Club and Eager Beavers Senior Citizens Bowling League.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Winborne of Norfolk and Janet Dixon of Hackensack, N.J.; a son, Arthur Lee Winborne Jr. of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Thomas AME Zion Church by the Rev. G.L. Scott. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will be Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1505 Covel St. at 12:45 p.m. Sunday for the processional to the church and at 9:30 a.m. Monday for the processional to the cemetery. Pretlow's Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
