Roy Earnest Hall, 56, of the 2700 block of Benefit Road, died Jan. 11, 1995, in a local hospital.
He was retired from the City of Chesapeake, after 25 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was a member of Geneva Baptist Church of Camden, N.C., Adult Sunday School Class, Wallaceton Ruritan Club and the Amputee Support Association of Hampton Roads.
Survivors include his wife of 33 1/2 wonderful years of marriage, Betty M. Hall; three sisters, Elizabeth H. Dozier and Ruby Dozier, both of Virginia Beach, and Fay H. Stevenson of Chesapeake; a brother, Willie C. Hall of Chesapeake; five brothers-in-law, Melvin Dozier and Raymond Murphy, both of Virginia Beach, Clyde Stevenson of Chesapeake, Herbert Ray Chappell of Portsmouth, and Frank Murphy of Moyock; four sisters-in-law, Ann Hall of Chesapeake, Kathlene Kindle and Rhonda Murphy, both of Virginia Beach, and Billie Murphy of Moyock; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and Grandma Parma L. Holloway of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Lake Drummond Baptist Church by the Rev. Stephen Edwards and the Rev. Jim Clark. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Amputee Support Association of Hampton Roads, P.O. Box 11539, Debree Station, Norfolk, Va. 23517, or your favorite charity.
