Ernest Leroy Hodges, 81, of Montgomery Ave., died Thursday, Jan. 12, 1995, in a Richmond hospital.
Mr. Hodges was a native of Norfolk. He had worked in food services for over 60 years, retiring as a sales representative with Doughties, Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Young Hodges; three daughters, Beverly H. Patrinely of Jacksonville, Fla., Frances H. Bratton of Suffolk and Andrea H. Baines of Baltimore; a sister, Katherine Turner of Greenville, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Park View Christian Church (Churchland), 3201 Western Branch Blvd., Chesapeake, by the Rev. Marilyn Danner and the Rev. Robert L. Danner. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Contributions may be made to the Park View Christian Church Living Endowment Fund.
