William Laffayette Jones Sr., 69, of the 400 block of W. Constance Road, died Jan. 13, 1995, in Obici Hospital.
A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Larry Earl Jones and Annie Mae Turner Jones Dixon. Mr. Jones was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Suffolk Moose Lodge and was a retired sign painter with Newport News Shipbuilding.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis R. Jones, William L. Jones Jr., and John E. Jones, all of Suffolk.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Clyde D. Nuckols Sr. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the home of W.L. Jones Jr., 2989 Providence Road. Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
