VIRGINIA S. BABB

Virginia Smith Babb of Richmond died on Friday, Jan. 13, 1995.

She was a native of Franklin and a former resident of Ivor. She was the widow of Dr. Emerson M. Babb. She was a member of the Ivor United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children, a daughter, Rosalyn Babb Cox of Salem; three sons, Emerson M. Babb Jr. of St. Simon, Ga., Dr. John R. Babb of Beaumont, Texas, and Paul C. Babb of Richmond; two brothers, Bernard W. Smith of Sedley and Gordon L. Smith of Richmond; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchilren.

Graveside services will be held at the Ivor Cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 15, 1995, at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Dwight Zavitz. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, this evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
