Thomas Washington Jones, 74, of the 900 block of London Blvd., died Jan. 12, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Jones, a native of Surry County, was the son of the late Johnnie M. and Mary Ellis Jones. He was a member of Fourth Baptist Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Jones of New York City; two sons, Earl Jones and Christopher Jones, both of New York City; four sisters, Rebecca Stevenson, Mable Howell, Gracie Bunch and Johnnie Mae Mitchell, all of Suffolk; a brother, Enos Jones of Suffolk; uncle, Arbie Jones of Ivor; aunt, Mamie Ellis of Mount Airy, Md.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Jarvis Jones. Burial will be in Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Suffolk.
