A Norfolk teenager was arrested and charged with murder Thursday in the slaying of a man who was found beaten Jan. 1 and died in a hospital the next day.
The 16-year-old was arrested without incident at 9:10 p.m., police spokesman Larry Hill said. He was not identified because of his age.
Another suspect, Nathaniel M. Lindsey, 19, of Norfolk also was arrested Thursday morning and charged with murder in the death.
Police said Jones, 44, of the 1300 block of Johnstons Road, was found unconscious at a playground near his home. He had suffered head and torso injuries, and he died the next day at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
