A man was taken into custody early Friday after barricading himself inside a camper in his back yard for almost five hours, police said.
Police received a call about 10:45 p.m. Thursday that a man was firing a gun in his back yard in the 3200 block of Eason Road. When police arrived, they found the man barricaded in the camper.
Members of a SWAT team entered the camper about 3:55 a.m. Friday and found a handgun. The man was not identified, and no charged were immediately filed. Police said he was reported to be intoxicated.
The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of a burn on one of his legs, but police did not know how he suffered the injury. The investigation is continuing.
