Kathleen ``Perky'' Murray Gibson, 43, died December 29, 1994 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Services were held January 2, 1995, at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral, followed by private burial. Mrs. Gibson was born in Seattle, and lived in the Philippines, Colts Neck, N.J., Virginia Beach, Va., Los Angeles, Calif., and Montpelier, France, before moving to Kansas City in 1976. She was a freelance writer, with many articles published in the Kansas City Star. She graduated from the Norfolk Academy in 1969, received a bachelor's degree from Occidental College in 1973, and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1976. She was a member of the Junior League of Kansas City, editing children's books for them as fund-raisers for the less fortunate, and a member of the Kansas City Country Club. Survivors include her husband, Daniel Lincoln Gibson, and two sons, Daniel Gunnard Beamish Gibson and Jonathan Douglas Gibson of the home; her parents, Douglas and Margaret ``Beamie'' Murray of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Susan Walker Murray, of Minneapolis, and Nancy Beamish Murray, of Portland, Ore.; and two brothers, Michael Walter Murray of Los Angeles, and Thomas Douglas Murray, of Virginia Beach.
