Local police are asking public assistance in solving these cases:
VIRGINIA BEACH
Melissa Anne Aaglan, 19, is wanted for violation of probation stemming from burglary and grand larceny charges.
Aaglan is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 120 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.
Her last known address was in the 9500 block of 26th Bay St. in Norfolk.
Police are looking for a man who used a fictitious name. He is wanted for trying to steal a car, failing to appear in court and providing false information to police.
The man used the alias ``Jeff Stevens.''
The man is described as black, appears to be in his late 20s, is 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build, short black hair, a mustache and brown eyes.
PORTSMOUTH
Salinda Lee Alvin, 40, who is also known as ``Dot,'' is wanted for robbery and larceny charges and for two charges of failing to appear in court.
Alvin is described as black, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 165 pounds.
She frequents the Dale Homes section of the city. Her last known addresses were in the 400 block of Quantico St. and the 500 block of Edwards St.
NORFOLK
On Friday, Jan. 6, about 1 a.m., a burglary occurred at Haase's Nautical Antiques at Virginia Beach Boulevard and Kempsville Road.
Someone threw a cinder block through the front window and then entered the building, despite having set off an audible alarm.
The burglars took two brass lamps valued at $1,400 and a 30-inch brass telescope valued at $2,800.
Witnesses saw two men flee the area in a small blue hatchback.
Tyquan Johnson is wanted for failing to appear in court.
Johnson is described as black, 6 feet 1 inch tall and 130 pounds.
David Allen Johnson, 37, is wanted for parole violation in connection with his conviction for possession of cocaine.
Johnson is described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 150 pounds.
HAMPTON
Late on the evening of Sept. 24, someone entered Peninsula Gun Works at 2511 W. Mercury Blvd. They broke in by cutting a hole in the roof. The thieves stole 31 handguns ranging from .380 caliber automatics to .44 caliber pistols.
