LENA T. COBURN

Lena Twiddy Coburn went to be with our Lord Saturday, Jan. 14, 1995.

Mrs. Coburn was a native of Creswell, N.C., she was a Pentecostal and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Naomi Hufton Twiddy. She was preceded in death by a son CB Henry Coburn Jr. and was the widow of CB Henry Coburn Sr.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Coburn-Weber of Hertford, N.C., and Evie Coburn Mainzer of Chesapeake; two sons, Johnny Lee Coburn Sr. of Knotts Island, N.C., and Frank E. Coburn, also of North Carolina; eight sisters, Dorothy Helterbran of St. Petersburg, Fla., Donnie Dozier of Virginia Beach, Helen Street, Delma Clough and Mary Sallenger, all of Windsor, N.C., Joyce Ferrell and Martha Phelps, both of Newport, N.C., and Wilma Spencer of Creswell, N.C.; one brother, Benjamin Franklin Twiddy Jr. of Creswell, N.C. Mrs. Coburn also had eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1995, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Twiford Funeral Home Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, with the Rev. H. Gene Boyce officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
