Virginia V. Thurston, 67, died Jan. 14, 1995, at Sentara Bayside Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She recently moved to Virginia Beach, having lived in Richmond for 30 years. Prior to that, she was a Peninsula resident.
She is survived by two sons, Lewis B. Thurston III and his wife Jean of Virginia Beach and David R. Thurston and his wife Jean of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Rebecca of Virginia Beach and Jennifer, Zacharey and Benjamin of Charleston, S.C.
Mrs. Thurston's body has been donated to medical science.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
