Marjorie Cox Askew, 69, of the 7800 block of Flowerfield Road, died Jan. 15, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Askew was born in Horton, Kansas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Oakdale Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Askew; two sons, Robert Askew and his wife Brenda of Norfolk and Charles Askew and his wife Carol of Chesapeake; three sisters, Maxine Baker of Denver, Colo., Marilyn Shepherd of Pampa, Texas, and Dorothy Yates of Fritch, Texas; one brother, Owen Cox of Fritch, Texas; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ken King in Oakdale Presbyterian Church, Norfolk. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the church. Altmeyer Funeral Home in charge.
