Millie B. Skipper, 48, of the 4300 block of Greenwood Drive, a licensed practical nurse, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 13, 1995, in her home in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Skipper was born in Robersonville, N.C. She was employed at Maryview Medical Center and was the widow of Robert Skipper.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela McMillian, Denise Skipper and Wanda Smith, all of Portsmouth; a son, Keith Skipper of Groton, Conn.; her mother, Vernell Burns of Portsmouth; her father, Willie Burns of Robersonville, N.C.; two brothers, Willie Burns Jr. of New Jersey and Jerry Andrews of Germany; six grandchildren; a special friend, Earl Lewis; three dear friends, Marvin Huddle, Loleta Bass and Dora Marsh; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, by Elder James Dixon. Viewing will begin at noon today in Corprew Funeral Home. The family and friends will assemble at the residence for the procession to the cemetery.
