RUTH H. CASON

Ruth Haynes Cason of the 200 block of Mannings Lane died Jan. 13, 1995.

She was born in Princess Anne County and was employed with the Virginia Beach Schools for seven years. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Kempsville in Virginia Beach, Pastor's Aide, Hospitality Club and Floral Club. She was also a member of Williams Village Civic League. She was named Woman of the Year of Union Baptist Church Kempsville for 1987.

Survivors include five daughters, Brenda Cason, Warnette Cason and Deborah O. Etheridge, all of Virginia Beach, Andrea Cason of Richmond and Valerie Cason of Oxon Hill, Md.; six sons, Abraham Cason, Larry Owens, Brian Cason, Maurice Cason, Darrell Cason and Gary Cason, all of Virginia Beach; her mother, Margaret H. Vaughan of Virginia Beach; her father, John R. Woodhouse of Norfolk; five sisters, Katherine Vaughan, Jacqueline Boone and Wilhemina Jones, all of Virginia Beach, Eleanor Allen of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Sandra Porter of Powhatan, Va.; five brothers, Vernon Vaughan, James Vaughan, Leroy Boone and Allen Boone, all of Virginia Beach, and Samuel Clark of Richmond, Va.; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Union Baptist Church Kempsville, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. William Walton. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
