Mabel M. Stephenson, 92, died Jan. 16, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Stephenson was born in Hobson, Va., and was the widow of Franklin B. Stephenson. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Norfolk for over 60 years.
Survivors include a son, Walter, and his wife, Janie Stephenson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Virginia Hanson of Chadsworth, Calif.; five grandchildren, Walter R. Stephenson Jr. of Chesapeake, Katherine Stephenson and Linda Stephenson, both of Virginia Beach, Martha Meekins of Kitty Hawk, N.C., and Sherri Laudenslager of Waldorf, Md.; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. W. Emmett M. Diggs. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
