Bettie B. Rudd, 96, of the 800 block of Bold St., died Sunday, Jan. 15, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Rudd was born in Halifax, N.C., and was a member of New Central Baptist Church in the Berkley section of Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Arlene Irving and a son, Thomas H. Burt, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Lucy E. Hedgespeth of Hollister, N.C.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Central Baptist Church by H. Edward Whitaker. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive visitors at 809 Bold St., Portsmouth. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. today in Chatman Funeral Home, Norfolk. The body will be placed in church at 11 a.m. Thursday.
