John Clarence Golliday, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995 at a Greensboro, N.C. hospital.
Mr. Golliday, born in Charles Town, W.Va., was a former resident of Red Wing Minn., and was a retired nuclear engineer in the United States Navy. He was the son of the late Stuart and Laura Golliday and the husband of the late Marcia Dietz Golliday.
Mr. Golliday is survived by one daughter, Stephanie G. Walker and her husband Bill of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; one son, Stuart Golliday and his wife Nancy, also of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; one sister, Sally Covalli of Neavitt, Md.; four grandchildren, Jacob Golliday, William, Daniel and Joseph Walker, all of Kill Devil Hills.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Dan Garrett at the Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Entombment will take place in the Shennendoah Memorial Park in Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Hospital, c/o Betty Terrell, 1311 Palmyra Ave., Richmond, Va. 23227. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, N.C., is in charge of these arrangements.
