A third Norfolk teenager has been arrested and charged with murder in the slaying of William Jones, who was found beaten Jan. 1 and died in a hospital the next day.
Police said Tuesday that the 17-year-old suspect, who was not identified because of his age, turned himself in on Saturday.
Nathaniel M. Lindsey, 19, of Norfolk, was arrested and charged on Jan. 12. Another suspect, a 16-year-old, was arrested the same day.
Police said Jones, 44, of the 1300 block of Johnstons Road, was found at a playground near his home. He had suffered head and torso injuries, and he died the next day at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
