SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed here were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Breaking and entering (house), 3800 block Pughsville Road, Jan. 8, front door pried open with screwdriver. Items valued at $1,000 removed and placed behind shed.

DISTRICT B

Grand larceny, 6300 block Godwin Boulevard, Jan. 7, someone removed one microwave oven, one 19'' color TV, one 13'' black and white TV, one Bose stereo, Coustic Wave sound system, one Radio Shack am/fm radio, 25 compact discs and four 1/2-gallon containers of vodka from a vacant residence.

Worthless checks, 6000 Godwin Boulevard, Jan. 10, purchases made on checks for which there were inadequate funds in the bank.

Hit and run, Godwin Boulevard and Kings Highway, Jan. 12, someone driving a full-sized pickup with a camper shell pulled out in front of another vehicle causing damage to the front driver's side and left the scene without stopping.

DISTRICT C

Armed robbery, North Main Street, Jan. 7, two men approached a woman who had just made an ATM transaction and demanded the money. When victim refused, a semi-automatic weapon was drawn. The money was taken and the robbers fled on foot.

Breaking and entering (house), 500 block Causey Avenue, Jan. 7, someone broke into house and removed one heater valued at $149.

Lost or stolen, 2300 block Godwin Boulevard, Jan. 10, state license plates were taken while car was parked.

DISTRICT D

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block East Washington Street, Jan. 7, someone threw a trash can through the front window of business and removed one Army camouflage jacket.

Vandalism, 300 block South Main Street, Jan. 7, someone cut through left front tire of vehicle.

Strong arm robbery, 200 block Morgan Street, Jan. 7, someone pushed victim to the ground, removed her boot and took $30 in food stamps.

Breaking and entering (house), 300 block Bidwell Street, Jan. 7, someone entered house and removed one Fisher VCR and one Super Nintendo video game.

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block East Washington Street, Jan. 8, someone pried roof air conditioner to gain entry. A brick chimney had been tampered with on Jan. 5 and a front window had been broken on Dec. 30, 1994.

Breaking and entering (business), 100 block Johnson Avenue, Jan. 10, someone pried off lock to west side door of shop and removed several items valued at $675.

Breaking and entering (house), 100 block Morgan Street, Jan. 12, someone attempted to gain entry by forcing deadbolt lock. A kerosene heater was removed from porch area.

Grand larceny, 400 block York Street, Jan. 12, one cellular phone with case, one checkbook case, one Central Fidelity Mastercard, one Central Fidelity ATM card, one BJ Club card and one driver's license was removed from a 1988 Ford.

Petit larceny, 600 block Forest Oak Lane, Jan. 12, one Virginia State Inspection sticker was removed from a 92 Pontiac Lemans.

DISTRICT E

Grand larceny, 700 block Chappell Drive, Jan. 10, someone removed 30 compact discs valued at $480 and one Sonyco player valued at $350.

Grand larceny, 700 block Chappell Drive, Jan. 10, someone removed 36 music compact discs valued at $576, one Kenwood CD player valued at $350, one Kenwood equalizer valued at $250 and $30 in cash from parked vehicle.

DISTRICT F

Felony child neglect, 600 block Turlington Road, Jan. 8, three juveniles were left alone numerous times in residence for several days in succession.

Breaking and entering (house), 7100 block South Quay Road, Jan. 12, someone entered residence and removed a Tandy 100 computer system, a Sharp VCR, $400 in cash, a Tandy Matrix printer, approximately 10 computer discs and various men's clothing. by CNB
