CORA N. TAYLOR

Cora Newsome Taylor, 81, of Route 1, a homemaker, died Jan. 18, 1995, at home.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Hertford County and was the widow of William T. Taylor Jr. She was a member of Buckhorn Baptist Church in Como.

Survivors include six daughters, Nancy Taylor Lane of Redding, Calif., Elizabeth Anne Taylor Brown of Richmond, Va., Margie Taylor Way of Wrightsville Beach, Miriam Taylor of Como, Julia Carol Taylor of Charleston, W.Va.,and Martha Lynne Fleischman of Palo Alto, Calif.; four sons, Wiliam T. Taylor III of Brunswick, Ga., Kenneth N. Taylor of Suffolk, Va., and John G. Taylor and Robert Lee Taylor, both of Como; two sisters, Alice N. Picot of Franklin, Va., and Martha Cartwright Railey of Como; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, by the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial donations may be made to the Como Rescue Squad, Como, N.C. 27818.
