Ada Ferguson Read, 81, of the 1900 block of Rosemary Lane, died Jan. 17, 1995, in Portsmouth.
She was a native of Newsoms, Va., and was the widow of Lewis C. Read Jr. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and was a retired registered nurse at Parish Memorial Hospital, Portsmouth, and co-owner of Read's Goat Dairy in Chesapeake.
She is survived by one son, Lewis C. Read III of Falls Church, Va.; and one sister, Marjorie Ferguson Rowan of Silver Springs, Md.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Deep Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Ernest W. Myers. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd, Chapel, Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
