Thomas R. ``Skip'' Skipper, 57, of the 1800 block of McDowell Road, died Jan. 17, 1995, in his home.
Mr. Skipper was born in Lake View, S.C. He was retired as a construction worker from Higgerson-Buchanan. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of Bromley Civic League.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Williams Skipper; three daughters, Vickie Skipper of St. Petersburg, Fla., Shannon Skipper and Kim Skipper, both of Virginia Beach; three sons, Tony Skipper of Asheville, N.C., Brett Skipper of Newport News and Jeff Skipper of Hawaii; two grandchildren, Stardard Bowdin of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Christopher M. Skipper of Lafayette, La.; two stepsons, Paul Williams of Wyoming and Robert Williams of Mayport, Fla.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
