Ford Motor Company will hold its 1995 annual meeting in Norfolk on May 11. Ford's Norfolk Assembly Plant opened in 1925, producing the Model T. It now builds F-series pickups, about 180,000 of which were assembled in Norfolk in 1994. The annual meeting, which Ford began rotating among its various operations last year, is partly recognition of the 70th anniversary of the plant. Ford has invested $521 million in the plant during the past two years, including the construction of a body shop and a paint facility.
