GLADYS M. PARKER

Gladys Marie Parker, 88, of the 1700 block of Spratley St., died Jan. 19, 1995, in her home.

Mrs. Parker, a native of Okemos, Mich., was the widow of Robert Beaubien and Joseph Ambrose Parker. She was a former credit manager for Cooper Jewelers, and was a member and former officer of the Portsmouth Retail Credit Women's Association. She was a member of Park View United Methodist Church, the Davis Overman Circle, and formerly served as president and secretary of the Park View United Methodist Women.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary P. Vaughan of Portsmouth, Geraldine Beaubien Davis of Charlton Heights, W.Va., Ardella Scott of Lansing, Mich.; a son, Ronald R. Beaubien of Logansport, Ind.; a stepson, Joseph A. Parker Jr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Lois Saunders of Lansing; a brother, Ralph Webster of Lynn, Mass.; a stepbrother, Sterling Als of Lansing; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert L. Parker, and a granddaughter, Diane Parker Branham.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Foster Funeral Home by the Rev. John A. Bright. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may join the family Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Mary P. Vaughan. Memorial donations may be made to Park View United Methodist Church.
