Oren S. Davidson of the 7000 block of Gregory Drive died Jan. 18, 1995, in his residence.
He was born in Charlotte, N.C., and was a member of St. John AME Church in Norfolk, the Steward Board, Lay Organization, Chancel Choir and Omnimen. He was a volunteer with the Tidewater Virginia Literacy Council, a member of the Advisory Board, a member of the What's Civic & Social Club and the Thursday Evening Leisure Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Leontine Davidson; a daughter, Ellen L. Davidson of Norfolk; a grandchild, Gregory O. Davidson, and a great-grandson, Oren M. Davidson, both of Plamdale, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Tanya Diggs-Davidson of Palmdale; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. John AME Church Bute Street by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The body will be in church at 10:30 a.m.
